The ANFPP is all about supporting new mums to have a healthy pregnancy and a strong future for themselves and their baby. So it shouldn't be any surprise that Dads are an important part of that future too!

Our program focuses on you, the Mum, but Dads (and family) have an important role in supporting you and your baby through this changing time in your life. They are learning and developing to be the best Dads they can be, and we’re also here to support them through this transition into parenthood. We welcome Dads and family to be part of the visit – whatever suits you.

There are also lots of opportunities for you and your partner/ family to talk with your home visiting team about the role of Dads and other father figures. There are many different ways that dads and/or family can support you through this journey. The team will help you to think about the community around you, what makes relationships strong and healthy, and where you can find support when you need it. It’s all about you and the kind of family you want to build for you and your bubba.

Your ANFPP home visiting team is part of a larger organisation that cares about the health of your community. This means they can connect you with programs especially designed to support Dads, or parenting programs designed for Mums and Dads to attend together.
